Japonica was established in 2001 with the sole intend of providing the very best sushi for social and corporate events. Japonica is constantly expanding with new innovative activities has become the premier Japanese food provider. Our goal is to address the needs of customers in this market who seek higher quality Japanese food in an affordable price. We have served many Cocktail & Dinner parties, as well as Corporate Events. We are very much aware of how to bring to you our exquisite Japanese Dishes and make sure you receive an elegant, decorated sushi station for your unique corporate or social event.

Our most recent activities lay on the organization of Japanese Events and the supply of fine Japanese serving ware and food products in the Greek Market.

Our Philosophy

Japonica’s philosophy is based on pure aesthetics and simplicity. Everything is made from the highest quality ingredients. Understanding the modern eating habits, we believe that our diet should be simple and clean. Everything that the human body needs exists in nature.

They say that to "eat Japan is to understand Japan". The Japanese Culture is closely related to food as "shoku-bunka" - "the culture of food". Japonica attempts to transform the food service to a real shoku bunka!


Our Fish

We buy fresh fish daily to quarantee the highest quality. Because of the composition of the Mediterranean waters, Greek Seas offer fresh and supremely tasteful fish and other marine life, such as shrimps, eels and sea urchins.

Our Rice

We use only Japanese imported rice, the highest quality in the world. Rice
is the basis of sushi and critical for its overall taste.

Our Sake

You can accompany your sushi dish with sake, the traditional Japanese wine. Noted for its exceptional flavour and fragrance, Japonica sake is brewed with white rice milled so that no more than 60% of the grain remains. Premium sake has easily proven itself to be worthy of appreciation on the same level as fine wine. The fragrances, flavours, complexity and nuances can draw you in and fascinate. And the range of these flavours and fragrances, while admittedly within a narrower range than the wine world can hold, are incredibly diverse. Japonica sake can be served both cold and warm.

 

Our Sushi Preparation Facilities

We have designed and constructed state of the art sushi preparation facilities in a central Athens location. Sushi is a very sensitive food that requires extra attention when preparing it. There must be strict quality control during all stages of production, making sure that all safety and hygiene requirements are fulfilled (clean & sanitised facilities, appropriate temperatures, high skilled staff, etc), so the final product reach our customers in the highest quality and best form. That’s why Japonica is currently in HACCP procedures. Japonica has obtained all the necessary and required licences from the Greek and EU health authorities.
